"A few years ago, I had talked to Josh Tirey about coming out to my house to re-do my roof. It was leaking in the garage and was in fear of completely crumbling down because of the bad roof. He had came out and talked to me about possibly doing my roof. He gave me an estimate (which I realized was too high), and he left. A few days later, I had to go pick up my son from school for his exams. When I came back home, I was shocked to see Josh Tirey's workers up on top of the roof ripping off the shingles and re-doing the roof, without my consent. I was shocked (being a widow) and had no idea what to do. In result I just let Tirey finish up with the job (in which I regret). After the job was over Josh barged in my house demanding that I pay him for the job that I did not sign for nor even agree to. I replied that I wouldn't pay him, then he threatened me and my son by saying, "Well, I can't be help responsible for what my workers do." It was then that I called the police and had him and his workers escorted off the premises. After that, he came over a few days after that demanding that I pay him his money, so mistakenly I did write the check for over 5 thousand dollars, for a house that isn't even 1100 square feet. Even after paying him the mnoney, the roof has not stopped leaking, and because of the debt that I have acquired from Tirey Roofing, I have been forced into foreclosure. The several attempts I made after that to get a hold of Josh to come and fix my roof, his mother grabbed the phone and started screaming at me that I was trying to break their family apart and that his dad had died, and that this was a horrible time. Even with the inflated price, I just wanted my roof to be fixed, and Josh Tirey couldn't even do that for me. I have been left out in the cold and pretty much robbed of over five thousand dollars, and any trust that I have for anybody in the business world." - 1/13/2010 9:56:55 AM

"I had Josh Tirey Roofing do the wind damage insurance claim work on my house two weeks ago. He worked with my insurance company and had the roof on in one day. This included a complete tearoff, new heavy duty roof paper, new roof vents, painting the chimney cap, new valley runoffs, new 30 year dimensional shingles and new flashing. Great job. With my experience, I would recommend him despite the other negatives listed here." - 6/24/2009 8:13:58 PM

"Josh Tirey also gave me a bad experience, broken promises and inflated rates. Not a way to do business." - 10/12/2008 9:40:13 AM

"I had Josh Tirey out to give me a quote on roof and gutter work, and when first meeting him I too felt like he was a straight up honest guy, but then after getting his quote I realized, he was soooo overpriced it was crazy. He was the most expensive bid out of 5 I got." - 10/9/2008 11:24:55 AM

"I called Josh Tirey roofing to come out for an estimate on a leaking roof and some drywall work. He seemed straight up and came out fairly quickly for the estimate. He did not give me a written estimate, just an oral estimate. After saying he would come do my roof one weekend, my husband got up early both weekend days, they never showed up. I called him and he said he would look into and call me back. Nothing. I call him and he then tells me he sent someone to do the work. However, noone ever let me know they were here, he never left an invoice and my dogs never barked to alert me anyone was near my home much less on my roof which i would of heard and I never left the house the day he claims someone was here. So I challenged him and told him he would need to prove to me work was done. He was supposed to come one Thrusday or Friday, and no show no call. TWO WEEKS later to the day, he shows up unannounced and went up and took a pic of the place he supposedly did. I advised him I would need an invoice which included who did the work, what day and time there were there, and a checklist of what was done. he couldnt even provide it at that time. SO i told him I would have someone to verify the work was done and the work was not done. I called him and let him know that and he decided apparently he had enough of me and told me he would not accept payment from me. Big of him since I highly doubt he did the work. I cant verify how his work is since he enver did any for me to my knowledge but I can attest to the fact that he doesnt keep his word on appointments. He claims he was so busy with the hurricane storms but this all happened PRIOR to this storms, when he supposedly did the roof work. I would never recommend him for anything. in fact, i had my drywall done for $300.00 less than his estimate and it was more drywall than he was going to do. I feel he inflates prices, according to the experience I have had. Again, keep in mind I cannot attest for his work, I only attest for the experience I have had with his lack of customer service." - 10/8/2008 3:00:21 PM
